Hi Len, welcome back! Hope all is well as this video was a year ago! You seemed just the same as all your earlier videos! ( 1985 vids are great but you were a tad more intense then I reckon! lol) I have no natural talent but have learned so much since discovering your videos a few weeks ago ..will keep practicing your basics till I get them right.. ( trees, branches, light to dark, water, perspective, clouds, blending and so on). Hope you’re still loving Chang Mai! Been there 3 or 4 times and Thailand ( mainly Koh Samui) about 40 times.. love the people and lifestyle! Am a Lismore lad so know Mullum well.. been in Perth since 1989 tho. Hope to see more vids depending on your health? Stay well! Ps- did these three pics quickly this last week.. I know where I went wrong ( obvious) - blending, flowers and things not pointing into the picture, branches ( clearly panicked lol) but so much fun! Will get there in the end.. it’s hard to ‘let go’ tho I find and not worry about ruining the paintings!

Hi Len, just discovered your videos and love them (Very clear and no waffling like so many others). Thanks so much for making them available. Grew up in Lismore ( so know Mullumbimby well) and spent my youth singing in bands on the North Coast in the 80’s. Been in Perth since 89. Retired now so working my way through your videos.. not much natural talent but am determined! Glad you loving Chang Mai - been travelling/backpacking through Asia and Thailand since 1992.. was going to retire to Thailand ( Koh Samui) but that may have to wait a few years. Been to Chang Mai many times- nice up there! Great to see you enjoying life in Chang Mai! Thanks again for the great lessons! ( ps I love my chickens as well lol).

I enjoyed your video, some great tips on painting. To me Bob Ross greatest accomplishment was inspiring people to paint. Like me. His art not so great, but his spirit was.

Great to see you back Len, you were one of my first artists I followed when I first started painting and I always come back from time to time to follow you. I saw one of your painting tutorials from 1985, a waterfall, I'm going to paint that one but with a couple of changes....think I will paint in a cave opening on the side near the waterfall. I think it will add a sense of mystery and danger of the unknown......by the way you were a good-looking young man back then.

I've never tried painting because I'm color blind and mix them up! I am quite excited now!!! I need to put this video in slow motion though!
